Stone Ambulance Service, Inc. is an emergency medical services agency licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and is also validated in Utah.

We provide basic and advanced life support ground transport in both an emergency and non-emergency setting, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also provide wheelchair transport during normal business hours. Both local and out-of-town services are available.

The company was founded in April, 2023 to meet an increased need for ambulance services by local extended-care nursing facilities and the local hospital. Operations began in May 2023 with three basic life support ambulances and one wheelchair transport vehicle.

In February of 2023, we were licensed as an advanced life support agency. More ambulances were purchased as our call volume grew. In 2023, we entered into an agreement with the City of Martinsville and County of Henry, Virginia to provide mutual aid to local volunteer fire departments.

In 2023, we opened Station #2 in the Salt Lake City, UT. As the calls for service have grown, so has our dedication to the citizens and communities we serve. This will be our first out of the county services, extending our call to help everyone. We are especially partnered to home health services located in Utah in making us their main means of transporting patients from Nursing Homes to Hospitals or Residences.

Today, we operate a fleet of 17 units with four shifts of 60+ employees. We handle as many as 75 calls for service per day; responding to calls from 911, Hospitals, Accident Scenes, Doctors Offices, Nursing Homes, Private Residences, ICU's, and more...
